40th Anniversary Poem

Suzette Pulman 40th Anniversary

To celebrate 40 years as a qualified osteopath, Suzette Pulman has penned this verse:

In 1979, Margaret Thatcher came to power
We expected British Leyland to collapse from hour to hour
But something else took place that year that’s not quite so well known
I qualified, passed my exams and set up on my own

Now looking back on forty years, so much is not the same
What’s still the same, I’m glad to say, is my delight and aim
I started out so long ago in complimentary therapy
To help my clients heal and be the best that they could be.

From there, I got accredited – a health professional now
My practice grew, my colleagues joined, I found myself somehow
Just where I’d wanted most to be, when I set out on my own
With lovely clients, colleagues, friends – oh, how those years have flown .

Those forty years have been and gone, I couldn’t feel more blessed
I love my job, the friends I’ve made, I never would have guessed
I’d end up here, among you all, looking back on all I’ve done
And I hope my work will carry on , for many years to come.
